The story behind the song
This song is about how losing someone threw me completely off balance. You were my home and my anchor, and since you left I feel empty and hurt. I lost myself and no longer recognise the boy who used to enjoy life.
To push the pain away I turn to drinking and smoking, but I notice it only makes every day worse. I often feel down and wonder when I will get out of this. At the same time I carry big dreams and fight to work my way up. My heart is broken and I do not know if I can love again. All I want is a pause from the pain and the chaos inside.
